When arriving to a new territory, a process of disorientation and reorientation is generated in me: my body 'departs from' at the same time as it 'arrives at', inhabiting a new space. The spaces we inhabit are not exterior to our bodies, they are a second skin that unfolds in the folds of the body. These spaces are printed on the body and the body is printed on them.
The transitory sculptures are offerings, marks that I leave on the surface of the territory that I happen to inhabit. An attempt to reciprocate a little of what the earth gives us. I use the matter present in the living soil to generate sculptures that will live as long as the wind, water, earth and sun allow them.
Al llegar a un nuevo territorio, se genera en mí un proceso de desorientación y reorientación: mi cuerpo ‘se alejan de’ al mismo tiempo que ‘llega a’, habitando un nuevo espacio. Los espacio que habitamos no son exteriores a nuestros cuerpos, son una segunda piel que se despliega en los pliegues del cuerpo. Estos espacios se imprimen en el cuerpo y el cuerpo se imprime en ellos.
Las esculturas transitorias son ofrendas, marcas que dejo en la superficie del territorio que me toca habitar. Un intento de reciprocar un poquito de lo que nos da la tierra. Utilizo la materia presente en el suelo vivo para generar esculturas que vivirán lo que el viento, el agua, la tierra y el sol les permitan.
